Davon Evans grew up in the Central Area. He owns a moving business and works for Cappy's Boxing Gym. He is the only member of his extended family who still lives in the Central Area.

Everybody knew everybody. We did a lot of family functions, like everybody in the neighborhood would come together and somebody would have something going on. The neighbor around the corner would have a barbecue, and she'd know the whole neighborhood would eventually be there. Then you started seeing more people moving in. They never introduced their selves. That's when, you see, it started getting different. They never introduced their selves at all. Families started moving out, to right now, the only family that I know that's still in the CD are the Buckleys, Clever Clyde, some of the Cheatams. That's it!
